John Wilkes Booth Returns to the Stage

JESSE JENSEN will perform 50 minutes of the new play “The Untold Story of John Wilkes Booth.” The limited engagement is Monday Nov. 11th 2013 with two shows at 4:00 & 6:00pm. Tickets are free but reservations are required.

 “The Untold Story of John Wilkes Booth” (written by Jensen; directed by Adam Knight of Slant Theater Project.) takes an intimate look at the rebellious and romantic life of actor John Wilkes Booth and what drove him to shoot the President. The completed 90-minute one-man show was developed at The Old Globe in San Diego. The play, which is currently being shopped around New York, enjoyed a full house reading at The Geffen Theater in LA last year.

 Actor-writer JESSE JENSEN has been seen on stage in Richard III, Death of a Salesman, and The Heiress and on TV/FILM in Cold Case, CSI, and Wasted. He earned a BA in Film from LMU in Los Angeles and an MFA in acting from The Old Globe Program at the University of San Diego, where he was awarded a full fellowship.
